Mediatalo ESA outsources its purchase-to-pay process to Enfo
The Mediatalo ESA media company will shortly begin using Enfo’s services in purchase invoices and accounts payable. Operating in the Päijät-Häme region of Finland, the company seeks to improve the efficiency of those financial administration support functions related to its purchase-to-pay process.
“As our current system has reached the end of its lifecycle, it was time to look for something new. We want better efficiency through system automation, which is exactly where Enfo's purchase-to-pay process will help us. When the beginning of the process is managed well, the tail will be too,” says Antti Torila, CFO of Meditatalo ESA.
From the viewpoint of Mediatalo ESA, outsourcing this process was a strategic choice: outsourcing streamlines operations, makes them more efficient and enables a stronger focus on core business activities. The company – which publishes newspapers such as Etelä-Suomen Sanomat and Itä-Häme – is the strongest player in the media business and is actively seeking partners for its other operations.
“It is important for us to draft our own agreements, but let our partners take care of the actual process and its development, freeing us from having to focus on these aspects. Enfo has assertively taken matters forward despite the tight schedule,” says a satisfied Torila.
Enfo is collaborating with Palette Finland Ltd, a supplier of automatic financial administration systems, and offers Palette's purchase-to-pay system as part of its financial process services.
“Mediatalo ESA will employ Palette's software, which Enfo provides as “software as a service” (SaaS). This is a flexible, easily scalable solution for financial administration,” says Ari Voutilainen, Enfo's Director, Key Account Management.
