SKL uses Qlik sense to visualise citizen information
Stockholm Qlik® (NASDAQ: QLIK), the leading company in the field of data discovery, announces today that the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKL) is choosing Qlik Sense to help citizens, for example, to compare large volumes of information about local schools and care of the elderly.
Enfo Pointer’s customer, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, is choosing Qlik Sense for an application containing citizen information. SKL works continuously to make it easier for citizens to be able to compare information. SKL’s continuous improvement work includes striving to achieve greater openness and transparency in order to further develop welfare. Together with Enfo Pointer, SKL will be implementing Qlik Sense in order to help citizens to compare, understand and evaluate various kinds of public information to make it easier to make important decisions. The information will be compiled in a central application and visualised in the form of engaging tables and charts.
“For citizens, it’s a democratic issue to be able to understand the data collected about issues such as education, healthcare and social care,” says Jörgen Sandström, Head of Section, Internal IT in the Digitisation Division at SKL.
Using Qlik Sense’s “drag & drop” functions, users can create applications that quickly provide visual supporting information or easy-to-understand presentations. Users can easily find new connections, as they are not restricted to following predefined paths. They can use the smart search function, for example, to enter search terms or numbers and easily start their analysis of large volumes of data.
“Qlik Sense’s self-service function helps SKL to extend the benefits of analysis to its citizens. Our vision for Qlik Sense is based on giving even more members of society the opportunity to research data and obtain meaningful insights in order that they can make decisions based on facts,” says Johan Salenstedt, VP Nordic Sales & MD at Qlik.
