Enfo closes down business unit Care Transform Karlskrona in Sweden .

Enfo will end operations at its business unit Care Transform Karlskrona in Sweden, with operations primarily in Karlskrona, and provides a redundancy notice to Arbetsförmedlingen about all employments at the unit, in total some 30 positions.

“This is a painful decision. However, in the course of this challenging journey it has become evident that we were late into the classical on-prem outsourcing market in Sweden. Classical outsourcing demands volume for economies of scale and profitability. In a market that is rapidly moving towards cloud-based solutions, Enfo has not been able to achieve volume in Sweden, as compared to Finland. Thus, we have decided not to provide classical outsourcing anymore in Sweden. Already earlier this year we decided to close the data center in Karlskrona and serve customers from our data center in Kuopio, Finland,” says Lars Aabol, EVP, business area Care.

The negotiations with unions and employees are expected to take 2-6 months. Enfo estimates the operations at the unit will end in summer 2019.
